Is there a difference between Jewish monotheism and Christian monotheism, given that the former rejects kind of oneness with God that Jesus spoke of as blasphemous, whereas Christian monotheism affirms it as the soul's graced destiny?

Is there a difference between Jewish monotheism and Christian monotheism, given that the former rejects kind of oneness with God that Jesus spoke of as blasphemous, whereas Christian monotheism affirms it as the soul's graced destiny?

When Jesus declares, "I and my Father are one!" (John 10:30).
"Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him...[saying to Jesus] because, they told him, you, being a man, make yourself God" (John 10:31;33)

Is it not strange -- and so perhaps particularly telling-- that God revealed Christ (the eternal union of God and humanity)-- through the life of fervent Jewish monotheist, Jesus, even as Torah rejects oneness of God and man as blasphemous?!!! Doesn't it seem that God has thrown a curve at Israel?  For millennia the Hebrews were schooled in the Shema, "Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One," by which they zealously guarded the transcendence of God beyond all material creation-- including the created reality of human self.
This topic may be of special interest to many Christian Christians contemplatives who made their personal discovery of "mystical Christianity" after years seeking God in Hinduism, especially non-dualist advaita Vedanta.  Indeed, some writers have endeavored to remake the Christian revelation into a Western advaita, in light of Jesus' unity statements.
Still other Christian contemplatives have endeavored to distinguish Christian monotheism from Jewish monotheism, framing the monotheism in a Christian key, as a further unfoldment of a latent truth in Jewish monotheism.  Not for nothing, they say, was Jesus born in monotheism; and they insist that Trinitarian monotheism is the true ontological frame for Christ.
